We know we all have to die one day, but nobody knows for sure what will happen to us after we die. Where we go? Heaven or hell, somewhere on the Middle of nowhere, or it ends up right there in the soil? Death is not the end but the start of a new beginning, and birth is actually the beginning of a new end. It all depends on our individual belief and faith. But is it true? Will it really happen as we have envisioned? Or something completely different or unusual will happen? Or nothing will ever happen and that will be the end of us once and for all. Nobody knows for sure. As nobody has returned from death yet, nobody can say it for sure, and the curiosity continues. Hinduism and Buddhism believe in life after life and reincarnation, Christianity believes in heaven and hell, and Islam believes in life in paradise after death. So do other religions and faiths, they all have their own interpretation of life after death. Having said that however, let me make one thing very clear beforehand, this book has nothing to do with any religions or faiths and it's a pure work of fiction for the sake of literature, and nothing more. All in all, it's all about one man's imagination and curiosity about afterlife and it's up to the readers to make up their own mind. By putting all of our religious differences aside, please read and enjoy the book. Thank you!

AFTERLIFE edition by TIM I GURUNG Religion Spirituality eBooks

Tim Gurung's book Afterlife is a unique book of sorts where Enos, the main character is set out on a journey into the afterlife. The transition process initially is described as follows: "All the normal senses of seeing, hearing, smelling, tasting, and touching were slowly but irretrievably dying. I wanted to cry out and beg the process to stop but I didn't know how to… " Enter into this journey and it will be one that will intrigue you as to where Enos ends up.

This journey will not be like a biblical heaven as you may have read or heard accounts of. No, actually it will be a vacillation between mountaintop euphoria with pain and past recollections blotted out, along with a sense of feeling disconnected from the struggles and hardships. Initially Enos would hear the saddening noises of wailing and crying from dying souls. As you take an exhibition through grassland, water, sea, and a snowstorm to name a few, the concept of time will not become relevant. "What mattered the most here was between you and your journey, the journey that never seems to end. I was very alone and had to complete the journey alone as well… "

The reader will discover the meaning in the end that will have made the vicissitudes of travel worthwhile. "All the pain, sorrow and misery that had been the shadow of my life disappeared, and I genuinely felt like I had finally arrived". It will be a time where past and present forge as one and where true clarity of understanding for the first time occurs. Tim Gurung has used his imagination and a fictional rendition of how God is perceived and the ultimate declaration of one's fate. He combines a flavor of Hinduism belief with the sphere of afterlife.

The drama represented will suck the reader in as if being squarely amidst all the happenings. The author has an ingenious flair for striking details and heartfelt emotions. Accepting this as a fictional work will take the pressure off of preconceived ideas of the afterlife.

AFTERLIFE edition by TIM I GURUNG Religion Spirituality eBooks Reviews

I have been an atheist since I was wise enough to think critically and see the massive holes in the stories of organized religion, but that hasn't kept me from being slightly fascinated by the ideas behind death, mortality, and spirituality. Many people seem to think that spirituality is inherently linked to religion, but that is simply not the case. I think that Gurung understands that, and this book is printed proof. He takes readers on a philosophical and psychologically challenging journey into different environments, times, experiences, and emotions in an attempt to discover what we think will happen when we die. This book is not based on angelic choirs and living in Heaven with the bearded Big Guy; it's a powerful reflection on the depths of the human spirit and the vast potential mysteries that we have yet to solve.

Gurung doesn't try to convert us or tell us that he has the answers; instead, he shows options, forces us to put ourselves in those potential spaces, and then consider how that might affect our lives on earth. Some of this book is happy, some is tragic, and some is simply "out there" in the freezing wastes of the ether, and our minds won't be sure if it's good, bad, or somewhere in between. This book will get you thinking, and although death isn't the most enjoyable thing to ponder, it's something that we will all face. Fortunately, this author does a smashing job of making us ask the right questions, rather than living in fear.
In Tim I Gurungs “Afterlife,” what matters the most is Enos and his journey. Various mood-implied landscapes, just in time oomphs, and many energetic big jumps, bring him through a variety of poetic purgatories—to reach a staircase atop the Himalaya. That allows his final climb to an important destination, where he remains mostly aura. He eventually passes a guard station, only to come across automaton-like spammers, big fat call center bosses, and many more metaphorical types in cubicle land. He listens to one cubicle bound adherent exclaim wrongness with the system. She expounds, there’s no way to a sure and secure propitiation! She could have used a little help in her last life, and doesn’t like what she’ll be in the next… The power in charge asks if, “I should go down and live with you as a human?” in a tone that suggest her folly. After further instances, where those in judgment bargain with the power that is, Enos moves on. He proceeds, and starts to feel like an unlucky traveler—but then reaches an interactive state. No longer in aura status, he finds a long-mourned friend and compares notes about the afterlife. It’s a conundrum, as they’re forced to say goodbye. Thankfully, Enos reaches the true heart of his journey—his beloved wife Sonia. At this point, I should save poignant details. This is a highly energetic, and very imaginative book. As I poured through the pages, I imagined a movie similar to “The Life of Pi.” Author, Tim I Gurung, has a gift for leaving nothing to the imagination. This is why you’ll be immersed. Scriptwriters looking for good material would want to check this book out.
